Dr. Donald R. Taylor received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta, Georgia, followed by an internship in internal medicine from Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He went on to pursue his anesthesiology/critical care medicine residency and a regional anesthesia/pain management fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Taylor is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology with added qualifications in pain management.
Dr. Taylor currently holds the position of medical director at the Comprehensive Pain Care, PC and Georgia Center for Cancer Pain Management and Palliative Medicine, PC, in Marietta, Georgia. He is also the volunteer president of the Georgia Cancer Pain Initiative, Inc., as well as a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Pain Society and the American Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Taylor is an active author and lecturer on the topic of pain management.
