Hi. I am Kathy Hahn. I am a community pharmacist and I have been specializing in pain management for the last 20 years or so. I am in Eugene, Oregon and I am affiliate faculty at Oregon State University School of Pharmacy and I am also on the board of directors for the American Academy of Pain Management. We access our PDMP database periodically. We have patients that come to see us all the time and looking at it every single time which we have done at times and we have realized that generally these people are pretty compliant and it is not worth the time because it does take time and this is going to be something that practitioners are concerned about. It is one more thing they have to do. If you have somebody that you do not see often or a brand new patient, of course you are doing that as you are filling the prescription, but our other patients we are using, we do it periodically.
